The Rites and Liturgies of the Old Catholic Church

Altar-size book: The Mass of the Old Catholic Church is completely traditional. This altar-size book is in full color and intended to be used by a priest saying Mass. It has the complete Mass in Latin (1928), the Traditional Mass in English (Knott, 1912 with the Coverdale Canon of 1550), the Mystical Mass in English (Wedgwood/Leadbeater, 1916), all the Propers and Commons in Latin and English, and the Old Catholic Liturgical Canon (through 2020).

This version of the Old Catholic Altar Book has the same content as it larger cousin (above). The differences is that this version is printed in black and white, which means it costs significatntly less money that the full color edition.

For preparation of the church, it also has a convenient chart about the number of candles to use. To help you prepare a homily, it lists a THEME for each mass (sort of a summary of the Gospel in two or three words).

This booklet contains the congregation parts of the Mass: The Traditional Mass in Latin (1928, typical) and the Traditional Mass in English (1928, Knott Form) with the Canon by Miles Coverdale (1550).

The Latin and English versions are side-by-side.

Miscellaneous

The Canons of a church are the laws that govern the behavior of its clergy.

These Canons apply to the North American Old Catholic Church, the national Latin Rite church in the United States.

The Canons were adopted and went into effect on Advent Sunday (the start of the liturgical year) in 2009.
